There definitely seems to be a slight autumnal feel in the air this week! We've had incredibly hot days followed by damp, cold days... Enought about the weather... this is what's been going on on the blog:

Monday 2nd
A really helpful guide to Norfolk and Suffolk's weddings fairs! This is a must read for brides and grooms to be who are after some inspiration...

Popping the question... Not "will you marry me?" But "will you be my maid of honour?"... Great ways to ask that big question.

Thursday 5th
On Thursday I brought you some of my favourite ombre wedding dresses.

Iron Man Matrimony

As Monday marks the release of Iron Man 3 on DVD and Blu-ray, I couldn't resist the opportunity to share the awesomeness of having an Iron Man wedding theme! Unfortunately that doesn't mean giving you Robert Downey Jr ladies (especially because if I had that power, I'd be keeping it to myself!) but it does mean showing you some great ideas on how to have the geeky theme of you and/or your partners dreams without having to compromise on class.

Simple things can help you achieve this super-themed day. How about swapping white for gold and then having your bridesmaids in red to fit the colour scheme? Another great idea is using red roses for your bouquet and mixing in gold brooches or buttons (preferably metallic). Or perhaps you can go all out and have a cake inspired by Mr Tony Stark himself. Have a look below for more great ideas!

These are indeed real, created by designer Julian Hakes!

Use a small action figure as a buttonhole for the boys

Brides in gold are perfect for the theme, especially this gown made famous by Gossip Girl

Something as simple as a gold sash on a red dress is perfect for your bridal party

A great surprise treat for the boys, love these!

Comic themes don't have to look cheap, this gold and red set-up is stunning!

Wedding bands to match the theme of the day, perfect for any geeky couple

Compliment a groom's attire with these awesome cufflinks

Be sure to make use of the major elements of Iron Man in your day such as the Arc Reactor

Roses mixed with gold leaves are a great touch
